In 2007 we embarked on a full time home schooling programme for our little boy (Rohan) with special needs (Son-Rise programme). I had a meeting with the Local authority and the school’s headmistress and they agreed that this course of action was best for Rohan. At the end of the meeting I talked about how excited I was about this new adventure for Rohan and the potential benefits he would experience. The headmistress smiled in quite a sweet way and said “it is good for you to be excited about this sort of programme”. I was rather puzzled at the time but didn’t ask any questions. When I recounted the occasion today I thought maybe she meant I would need lots of energy to create it and drive it? And being excited would give me that. If that is so why not be excited about everything you decide to embark on? A new project, a new relationship, a new job, making dinner, cleaning the house, washing the dishes, changing your child’s nappy!…the list is endless 🙂
