I was chatting to a new client today and she remarked on how calm I was on the phone when she first spoke to me and she said she wanted a piece of that. So I told her about my teacher, my son Rohan who was 10 years old yesterday. When he was born I remember thinking of all the things I wanted to share with him and all the things I wanted to teach him and all the experiences I wanted to show him. So principally I put myself in the teaching position, sharing my wealth of knowledge and love of education with him so that he to could become successful in his education and career. Little did I know what Rohan had in store for me!!! An education I never expected, experiences I could not have dreamt of and he shared it all with me. I have learnt about chromosome abnormalities, autism, epilepsy, diets, I have read copious books on medications and alternative medicines educating myself in methods to help him with all the above. He has taught me how to love no matter what, find peace and a calm place inside regardless of what is going on around me, self trust and knowing I always have the ability to cope, how to let go of regrets of the past and fears of the future!!!
He has been my guide, my guru, my teacher. I learn something new from him every day. What a blessing it has been to have such a special child in my life. Now I work with people around the world passing on what I have learnt, through my counselling practice. I am excited to learn tomorrows lesson, never knowing what the next day will hold…
